Using the Living Earth Facility
Living Earth, a green material recycler, offers green waste disposal services for Flower Mound residents.
Flower Mound residents can drop off up to five cubic yards per trip of the following materials:
- Clean brush
- Tree trimmings (for disposal purposes, tree trimmings must be source-separated from other recyclables)
- Leaves
- Grass
This free service is not intended for commercial operators or landscape contractors. Residents must provide proof of residency with their driver’s license/photo ID, accompanied with a Flower Mound water bill with a Flower Mound address. The driver’s license/photo ID must reflect the same resident address as the bill.
Green waste must be packaged in 100 percent compostable bags, Kraft paper lawn and leaf bags, or transported in a reusable container. All green waste delivered in petroleum-based, non-compostable plastic trash bags must be debagged before being accepted.
A maximum of 10 cubic yards (pick-up bed combined with a single axle trailer) will be accepted per residence, per month. All materials must be transported without the aid of a private contractor.
Residents may access the facility Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
