Discover new techniques in visual journaling in this exciting workshop led by UNT Professor and Chair of the Department of Studio Art, Lauren Lake. Professor Lake will share approaches to visual journaling that are applicable to everyone from novice to experienced artists.
This will be an interactive workshop and a visual journal as well as various art supplies will be provided – all you need to bring is an open mind and your creativity.

The purpose of the Tour is to give the public an opportunity to get to know local artists, to observe their creative process first hand, and to create a sense of community among area artists, their neighbors, and the local businesses that support the arts. Flower Mound’s 16th annual Dorothy’s Dash 5K and Kids K is set for Saturday, November 9 at Flower Mound High School, 3411 Peters Colony Rd. This event honors former Town employee, Dorothy Walkup, who lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis in 2004, and raises funds to combat this terrible disease. The Cross Timbers Artists’ Guild is hosting its 18th annual Studio Tour on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from noon to 5 p.m. The tour will include 21 stops, feature 26 artists, and allow attendees to see first-hand where artists work on their craft.
