Do you love to cook or are interested in learning how to cook? Here’s your chance to learn from the pros when Seniors In Motion Auxiliary and Seniors In Motion (SIM) team up to host a unique culinary experience from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 30 at the Flower Mound Senior Center.
Residents over the age of 50 are invited to watch four local professional chefs compete against each other by demonstrating and preparing their best dishes. Audience members will sample each dish and vote for their favorite; the chef with the most votes will be crowned the Flower Mound Elite Chef.
Tickets are $20 per person and includes appetizers, four tastings dishes, and beverages. Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center Courtesy Desk, or online at www.flower-mound.com/adventures, keyword search “elite chef.” Seating is limited, and registration closes when full. This event is open to the public (not just SIM members), and all proceeds will go toward SIM programming.

Three musicians will take the stage in the next Lewisville Lake Symphony International Chamber series at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5500 Morriss Rd. Hyunsu Yoon (flute), Nadia Soree (harpsichord), Stephanie Sheldon (cello) will play music from the Baroque period, which brought works from composers Vivaldi and Bach, as well as musical genres such as oratorio, concerto, sonata, and opera.
