UPDATE: The Rheudasil Park ribbon cutting, originally scheduled for July 30, is being postponed due to unexpected contractor delays. The contractor has been working around the clock, including nights, in order to be ready, but has encountered issues with the supply chain, staffing shortages, and the summer’s high heat. The Town wants to ensure that when we hold the ribbon cutting and open the park back up after this extensive renovation project that it’s ready for the public, it’s clean and safe, and all the amenities are open and functioning. Please bear with us as we ensure all the work is completed.
We can’t wait to gather with you at our rescheduled ribbon cutting on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m.

ORIGINAL POST: We are thrilled to invite you to the ribbon cutting of Rheudasil Park (2401 Lake Forest Blvd.) on Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. In 2021, construction work began on a complete redesign of the park, which includes a new lighted boardwalk, playground area, basketball court, pavilion and restroom structure, enhanced landscaping, a small fishing pier, a trail, and sidewalk renovations along Lake Forest Boulevard.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, you can enjoy cake, punch, and snow cones to beat the heat. Town staff and the park’s architect will also be providing tours for residents to see all the new exciting upgrades. While they put the finishing touches on the park, crews may remain on scene in the days following the ribbon cutting.
This is the perfect ending to National Parks and Recreation month. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this park another great amenity for Flower Mound!
