Registered Contractor List
Looking for a contractor to do work on your home such as fix your plumbing? The Town has a searchable Registered Contractors List of all contractors and businesses who are registered with the Town, a requirement to perform work on a home. The list is updated throughout the year and can be viewed at www.flower-mound.com/contractors. View the Building Code of the Town’s Code of Ordinances (Chapter 14). Please note, this list is provided as a public service and the Town does not endorse or recommend contractors.
Town to Adjust Sewer Rate Calculations
With the recent winter storm, the Town is adjusting the sewer rate calculation to not include the usage during the emergency. This should keep your sewer rates from being impacted by any excess use due to dripping of faucets and/or pipe breakage.
For a possible adjustment to your water bill due to a pipe breaking, please complete a leak adjustment form. The form can be submitted via email, in person, or by mail.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please email Utility Billing at UtilityBilling@flower-mound.com or call during business hours at 972.874.6010.
Texas Damage Survey
Gov. Abbott announced a statewide effort to collect damage assessment data for this unprecedented winter storm. The objective in this effort is to demonstrate the scale of this disaster at the local level. With this detailed information, the Texas Division of Emergency Management will be able to demonstrate the total impact statewide. The success of this effort will assist the local jurisdiction with the eligibility to potential federal programs.
If you were impacted, please complete the survey to help officials gain an understanding of the damages that have occurred.
Disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been made available for those impacted by the winter storm. Flower Mound individuals and business owners who sustained losses may begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.disasterassistance.gov/ or by calling 800.621.3362 or 800.462.7585.
If you have insurance, file a claim with them first and then apply to FEMA. Benefits cannot be duplicated if you received insurance from your provider first.
