We know it’s difficult making Thanksgiving plans during a global pandemic, figuring out how to see your loved ones while also keeping everyone healthy. Here are some tips to keep everyone safe this holiday season:

  • Limit the number of guests
  • Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when not eating/drinking
  • Try eating outdoors or open the windows
  • Try to stay at least six feet away from those who do not live with you
  • Wash your hands often and keep hand sanitizer with you when you cannot wash your hands
  • Bring your own food, drinks, plates, cups, and utensils
  • Limit the number of people where in food preparation areas
  • Use single-use options for things like salad dressing, condiments, food containers, plates, and utensils
  • Have one person serve, if sharing the food
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces often
  • If traveling, check travel restrictions before you go
  • You could safely prepare Thanksgiving dishes and deliver them to family and neighbors, that does not involve contact (for example, leave filled food containers on a loved-one’s porch)
