The Town’s COVID-19 webpage (www.flower-mound.com/covid19) was updated with new information for residents. The main points include:
- The Town Council will meet Thursday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall to consider extending the disaster declaration and if so, expanding its measures. The meeting will be broadcast on www.flower-mound.com/fmtv, on the Town of Flower Mound Facebook page through the Facebook Live feature, and on local cable channels (Grande Cable Channel 12, Time Warner Cable Channel 16, and Frontier Channel 42). While attendance is open to the public, Town officials encourage residents to watch from home and email any comments they might have to the Town Council prior to the meeting at firstname.lastname@example.org. View the agenda for the meeting online.
- The Flower Mound Police Department issued temporary protocols in response to the virus on Tuesday, March 17.
- The Town is discontinuing room reservations for the use of its community meeting rooms effective immediately through the end of March. Pavilion rentals and Twin Coves reservations (which is experiencing rising lake levels) have also been discontinued through the end of March.
- A Town event cancellation list was also added.
Town staff will continue monitor the situation in the State of Texas and Denton County and will post updates that affect the community, when available.
