The U.S. Census 2020 is now underway! Why should you participate? Here’s a few important reasons:
- Responses help determine where over $675 billion is distributed each year to communities nationwide for clinics, schools, roads, and more.
- Census data also gives community leaders vital information to make decisions about planning for the future and helps with business recruitment.
- Information is used to redraw legislative districts and determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Beginning in mid-March, residents will receive a notice in the mail to complete the 2020 Census, which will collect basic information about people living in your household. The U.S. Census Bureau will accept responses online, by phone, and by mail. All information provided is protected by strict federal law.
