What is a Prairie, Anyway?

Thursday, November 8, 2018

Have you ever driven by The Flower Mound and wondered what that weedy-looking field was all about? On Thursday, November 8 at 7 p.m., the Flower Mound Public Library will host the third Wild about Flower Mound Series event, sponsored by The Flower Mound Foundation. Flower Mound Foundation board member and Master Naturalist Diane Wetherbee will present the sights of the Flower Mound prairie that you can’t notice while just driving past. She will explain the importance of the most endangered ecosystem in the U.S. and show you the grasses, flowers, and wildlife that make up the namesake for our town. To register, email fmpl@flower-mound.com or call 972.874.6165.
