Youth Action Council
Would you like to make a difference in the community and address teen-related issues involving the youth of Flower Mound? If so, now is the time to join the Flower Mound Youth Action Council. Applicants must be a resident of Flower Mound between the ages of 14 to 19 years old, possess leadership skills, and be involved in extra-curricular activities. What is FMYAC?
The purpose of the Flower Mound Youth Action Council is to serve as an advisory group to the Town Council, Parks Board, Executive Team, and the Parks & Recreation Department regarding issues that affect youth through problem solving, education, social activities, and service projects in our community.
The Flower Mound Youth Action Council consists of a maximum of 22 members between the ages of 14 and 19, grades 9 through 12. Selection is based upon leadership ability, community involvement, and a vision for the future. Members will serve a one-year term.

Openings are available for Flower Mound residents entering grades 9 through 12 who are enrolled at Flower Mound High School, Marcus High School, or any private or home school in Flower Mound. If you meet the criteria and are looking for an opportunity to represent the youth of Flower Mound, we encourage you to apply. For more information call, 972.874.6276.
FMYAC Donation Opportunities
FMYAC is currently accepting donations benefitting the Children's Advocacy Center for North Texas. All donation items can be dropped off at the front desk at the Flower Mound Community Activity Center. Items needed include:
- Non-Perishable Food: cereal bars, canned pasta, macaroni and cheese, canned vegetables, canned fruit, cases of water, and juice boxes.
- Hygiene Items: shampoo and conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, diapers, and hair brushes.
- Cleaning Supplies: dishwasher detergent, bleach, laundry detergent, and sanitizing wipes.
