Rentals and Reservations

Sports Fields

Fees are required for the reservation of designated game fields. Checks, cash and credit cards are acceptable forms of payment. There is no fee for the reservation of designated practice fields. Failure to pay appropriate reservation fees (if applicable) and/or complete required paperwork will result in denial of the reservation request. Those reserving fields must be at least 18 years of age. Proper identification is required to determine residency status and/or age. A driver’s license and/or current utility bill is an acceptable form of identification. Lighted fields are set on a timer and will be set for sufficient arrival and departure of participants. 

Sports Field conditions can be obtained by calling the Town’s Rainout Line at 972.874.6277. This line will be updated by 4 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends. Game Field reservations for baseball and softball fields are available on a limited basis from February 1 through July 31 and August 15 through November 30. Reservations are not available August 1 through 14 and December 1 through January 31 due to turf maintenance. 

Reservation/Allocation Procedures

All sports field reservations, including designated game and practice sports fields, must be made in person at the Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road. No telephone or fax reservations will be taken. Reservations are accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Organizations that have a Youth Sports Facility Agreement with the Town are granted block times for scheduling in accordance with the terms of their agreement. This may limit time slots available for game field reservations. Game field reservations made during this time period are subject to cancellation due to possible league scheduling of makeup games for rainouts, etc. Reservations are limited to two times per week, one and a half hours per session.

Tennis Courts

No fee is required for tennis court reservations. Tennis court lights are placed on a timer. Activation is accomplished by pushing the buttons located near the gated entrances. Timers are set at one hour intervals. If additional time is needed, the button must again be pushed before the hour is up to extend the lights another hour. 

Reservation/Allocation Procedures

Flower Mound's public tennis courts are open for play from 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Tennis courts may be reserved a maximum of two times per week (Sunday-Saturday) for up to 1½ hours per reservation. No fee is required. Reservations can be made one week in advance by visiting our online reservation system. New users will need to create a free account to sign in and reserve. Picnic Pavilions & Amphitheaters

Fees are required for the reservation of Town-owned picnic shelters (pavilions/gazebos) and amphitheaters. Checks, cash and credit cards are acceptable forms of payment. This policy does not include sports fields, which are governed by Sports Field Reservation/Allocation and Use Policy. A person must be at least 18 years of age or older to reserve a park facility. Proper identification is required to determine age. Individuals and organizations reserving park facilities shall be responsible for all damages to the facility and/or equipment that occur as a result of the reservation. 


The fee schedule is as follows for residential rates / non-residential rates: 

  • Flat fee to include up to four hours: $50 / $75
  • Each additional hour after the first four hours: $10 / $15
The individual making the reservation must be on site at all times throughout the length of the reservation. Individuals or organizations must provide a minimum of two adult chaperon for youth functions of 40 or less. One additional adult chaperons must be provided for each additional 20 participants. Youth are defined as anyone under the age of 18. All equipment and decorations must be removed at the end of the reservation. Park facilities must be left in good, clean condition when the reservation is complete. Set up and clean up time must be included in the reservation. 


Failure to complete required paperwork will result in denial of the reservation request. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any reservation request or to cancel a reservation at any time. Amplified musical instruments are prohibited. Plans to have special activities or elements brought onto park property (dunking booths, bounce houses, entertainment, etc.) must receive prior written approval from the Director of Parks and Recreation Services or his/her designee. Special activities or elements brought onto park property require a certificate of insurance furnished to the Town specifying comprehensive general (public) liability or its equivalent, including $500,000 each person, $1,000,000 each occurrence, and property damage $250,000 per occurrence of $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage naming the Town of Flower Mound as additionally insured on the certificate.

Park facility reservations can be scheduled up to six months in advance. All park facility reservations must be made in person at the Recreation and Leisure Services office in the Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road. No telephone, e-mail, or fax reservations will be taken. Reservations are accepted during business days Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Recreation and Leisure Services office. All park facilities are subject to availability depending on weather conditions and seasonal maintenance.
