Properties

The Lakeside Business District and Denton Creek District provide the Town with ample land in a desirable and accessible location to attract quality economic development.

Business Districts

The Denton Creek District is located in the western portion of Flower Mound near Alliance Airport and the Texas Motor Speedway. Development in the district will benefit from excellent regional access provided by Interstate 35-W, U.S. 377, and FM 1171. Land uses will include major retail, village retail, retail, campus commercial, campus industrial, office and light industrial, office, and flex office.

The Town of Flower Mound established its Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) in September 2005 to provide funds for public infrastructure within the Town’s FM 2499 corridor. The TIRZ consists of approximately 1,465 acres and ad valorem tax revenues collected above the base value established in 2005 go toward funding proposed improvement projects over a 20-year period.

In addition to these business districts, a variety of other prime commercial development locations exist within Flower Mound including:
  • The FM 407 intersection
  • The FM 2499 and FM 3040 corridors
  • Lakeside DFW
  • Parker Square
  • River Walk at Central Park
