Appraisal Districts


Denton Central Appraisal District
Denton Central Appraisal District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas for the purpose of discovering and appraising property for ad valorem tax purposes—for each local taxing unit—within the boundaries of the district.

Tarrant County Appraisal District
Tarrant County Appraisal District is responsible for property tax appraisal and exemption administration for over seventy jurisdictions within Tarrant County. Each jurisdiction sets its tax rate to provide for police and fire protection, public schools, roads and streets, district courts, water and sewer systems, and other public services.

Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce
The Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce is a community-driven organization dedicated to creating a thriving business environment and improving the quality of life in Flower Mound. The Chamber provides resources, networking opportunities, and events that help members grow their businesses and connect with other local entrepreneurs.

Texas Economic Development Corporation
The Texas Economic Development Corporation (TxEDC) is an independently funded and operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization responsible for marketing and promoting Texas as a premier business location. Along with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism (EDT), these two highly focused organizations make up the cornerstone of Governor Greg Abbott’s economic development agenda to build a stronger Texas.

Texas Workforce Commission
Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers of Texas. TWC strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the Governor's economic development strategy.

U.S. Small Business Administration
Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.

Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas
The mission of Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas (WSNCT) is to advance business-driven solutions that promote economic growth, opportunity and a skilled workforce. WSNCT oversees programs that have been developed to assure that the businesses in the 14-county North Central Texas Workforce Development area remain competitive and grow jobs, that workers have the opportunities to obtain skills that will help them become or remain self-sufficient, and that communities are economically resilient.

Higher Education


North Central Texas College (NCTC) Flower Mound
The Flower Mound Campus serves as a centralized higher education center in the southern portion of Denton County. It complements the NCTC Corinth Campus, located in central Denton County. It opened in January 2011 with over 800 students and a handful of staff and faculty and has been growing ever since. It’s a student-centered environment focused on their success. Core curriculum courses are offered as well as Computer IT Education degree programs like Networking and Cyber Security. 

Midwestern State University
Midwestern State University (MSU Texas) at Flower Mound is a distance learning support center serving MSU Texas students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate online programs. The campus is shared with NCTC Flower Mound, making it beneficial to students so they can finish their associate degrees and easily transition into pursuing a bachelor degree on the same campus.

Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA)
DCTA provides public transportation services for those living, working or going to school in Denton County. These services include fixed-route bus services in Denton, campus services for the University of North Texas, A-train regional rail service between Denton, Lewisville and Carrollton, vanpool services for all of Denton County and demand response/paratransit services in Denton, Lewisville and Highland Village.
