Mason Lewis

Private First Class Mason Lewis is Flower Mound’s newest Hometown Hero! Born in Massachusetts in 2001, Mason and his family moved to Flower Mound when he was in the 6th grade. He attended McKamy Middle School before graduating from Flower Mound High School in 2020, where he played football and ran track.

Mason began his career in the United States Army by successfully completing basic training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is currently a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Mason was selected for Ranger School and will attend in July. During all of this, Mason is also working toward completing his bachelor’s degree.

During last night’s Council meeting, Mayor Derek France and Town Council presented Mason’s family with a Hometown Hero Proclamation and a banner, which hung in Flower Mound for months in Mason’s honor.

Flower Mound’s Hometown Hero program is sponsored by Ad Art Sign Company and began in 2012 to honor the men and women in our community who served or are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. To learn more about the program, visit www.flower-mound.com/hometownheroes.
