Chess Challenge
Think you can take on a chess champion?
Be one of 10 people to simultaneously play former U.S. women’s chess champion, Alexey Root, at the Library from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 11. If you can beat Root, you will receive a free copy of her book, Prepare With Chess Strategy. There will be multiple rounds played and all ages are welcome to participate.

Buzzing Bumblebees: Geared toward children who are not yet walking, this class will encourage babies to explore the world of language and develop motor skills through books, songs, rhymes and related activities. Buzzing Bumblebees meets on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Registration is not required

Wiggly Walkers: A new class designed for “new walkers” (those who are just starting to walk and still require some assistance) up to the age of two. Wiggly Walkers encourages tots to build early literacy skills through music, books, and rhyme. This class meets Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 11 a.m.

Romping Rhymers: Two- and three-year-olds will have a rollicking time reading, singing, and dancing while continuing to build literacy skills at Romping Rhymers on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

Leaping Learners: Children ages three to five will share books, sing songs, and develop group listening skills in this class designed as a launch pad to reading. Leaping Learners meets Mondays at 11 a.m. and Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.

Afternoon Adventures
Celebrate your favorite books and series with games, activities, crafts, and snacks for third- to fifth-graders. Registration is not required. This program meets on the second Tuesday of every month, September – May, from 4-5 p.m.

Babypalooza
Babies ages 6-18 months. This is an opportunity for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and their baby to join others in experiencing a variety of sensory play areas including building boxes, art activities, shakers, and much more! This program meets on the second Friday of each month (except August). New time due to construction: 1:15-2:15 p.m.

Gaming Unplugged
Join fellow gamers for an afternoon of chess, table-top games, and role-playing games on the second Sunday of the month from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Games will be provided, or you may bring your own. All ages welcome.

Pajama Storytime
Come in your pajamas and cozy up with your blanket and favorite stuffed animal for an hour of stories, music, rhymes, crafts, and snacks. Registration is not required. This program meets on the third Wednesday of each month, except August, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
