Facility Closures and Conducting Town Business Online
To protect the health and safety of the community, Town employees, and help minimize the spread of the coronavirus/COVID-19, the Town of Flower Mound temporarily closed all Town facilities and public restrooms to the public. The closure will be in effect through Monday, May 18 in accordance with the Town’s extended disaster declaration, which was approved by Town Council.
Facility closures include:
- Town Hall, 2121 Cross Timbers Rd. (This includes Code Enforcement, Utility Billing Window, and Permits)
- Police Department Lobby, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane
- Municipal Court Counter, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane
- Animal Adoption Center, 3950 Justin Rd.
- All Fire Station Lobbies
- Operations and Maintenance Building Lobby, 201 Spinks Rd.
- Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Rd.
- Public Library, 3030 Broadmoor Lane
- Senior Center, 2701 W. Windsor Dr.
Town staff is continuing to monitor the situation and will make adjustments, when needed.
Room Reservation Temporary Suspension
The Town is discontinuing room reservations for the use of its community meeting rooms effective immediately through May 18.
Twin Coves Park
Twin Coves Park reopened to the public for day-use only on Friday, May 8. For future reservations (May 19 and later), please call 972.874.6399.
Pavilion rentals have been discontinued through June 1.
How to Conduct Town Business Remotely
Town services will continue to be provided virtually and over the phone. Please see additional details below regarding individual services.
Utility customers can pay online, by mail, and by drop box. For online payment, please visit the Utility Billing webpage. The drop box is available 24-hours a day on the west side of Town Hall inside the glass doors.
All permit applications can be submitted online. To drop off hard copies of plans for commercial projects, a drop box will be placed in the vestibule at the main (north) entrance of Town Hall. For any questions, please contact Building Inspections at 972.874.6355.
All court dockets for March and April are canceled. For all information regarding the Court’s activity during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as mail and online payment methods, visit the Municipal Court webpage.
The Flower Mound Police Department has implemented a temporary response protocol that will maintain continuity of essential police services during the Town’s COVID-19 response. View the protocol response here.
To assist the public during this time with non-emergency calls for service, the Police Department is requesting the public to utilize the Flower Mound Police Department Online Reporting Service to report incidents including: assault (not in progress), barking dog, credit card abuse, vandalism, forgery, hit and run, identity theft, lost property, repossession, shoplifting (not in progress), theft, traffic concerns, and vacation watch. The Adoption Center will not be taking donations at this time. However, if donations are delivered to the shelter, we ask the donations are left at the front door and staff will handle accordingly. All volunteer programs are temporarily on hold, at this time.

To search for a code enforcement violation, please visit the Violations search function. This feature allows the public to search for a case by address and select the desired case to view the status. For questions, please call 972.874.6340.

Temporary changes at the Library include:
- Curbside pickup begins Monday, May 18.
- The Library book drop will remain open for returns.
- All holds that are in the building now, or come in during closure, will remain on hold until the Library reopens.
- Items eligible for renewal can be renewed online or by phone.
- All digital services, including Tutor.com, will remain available. Once on the website, enter your Library card number when prompted.
- Hoopla streaming checkouts have increased to seven per month and CloudLibrary access is increased to seven simultaneous checkouts.

Parks and Recreation
Staff is continuing to monitor the situation and will cancel Town events, as needed. View a list of all Town special event cancellations here.
As a courtesy to residents, the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department is waiving any cancellation or refund fees for camps, classes, or rentals over concerns related to the coronavirus. Please call the Parks and Recreation office at 972.874.6300 during normal business hours for assistance.
Seniors In Motion members are able to pick-up their Metroport Meals on Wheels biweekly lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays after noon at the Senior Center. This procedure will be in place for all Tuesday and Thursday lunches until further notice. SIM members who have already registered for lunches can cancel their lunches and receive a refund on their account.
