Teen Volunteering

Volunteering at the Flower Mound Public Library gives teens the opportunity to utilize their skills, develop new skills, and provide a service for their community. Teen volunteers shelve books, help Library staff with preparation for programs, and assist with Summer Reading Club, as well as many other tasks.

Becoming a Volunteer

  • Volunteers must fill out and return the application form to the Youth Services Desk
  • Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age
  • Court-mandated community service is not offered at the Library
  • The Town of Flower Mound requires a background check on all volunteers
  • Volunteers accepted into the program will be given a code of conduct to follow when volunteering at the Library
  • The Library is unfortunately not able to accommodate every person who applies to be a volunteer. A call for an interview does not indicate acceptance into the program.
