FloMo Doggie Dive
Saturday, September 23, 8:30 - 11 a.m.
CAC Outdoor Water Park, 1200 Gerault Road
Your fur child can come make a splash at Flower Mound's Doggie Dive! Dogs can enjoy some water park fun, puppuccinos, and snack on some tasty treats. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win dog-tastic prizes. Please arrive early so Flower Mound Animal Services can verify a current rabies vaccination. The Town will provide treats and toys and ask that owners refrain from bringing personal treats or toys for safety reasons. Please note, humans are not allowed in the pool during this event.
Pre-registration is required and spots are limited. There will not be day of registration available. Any owner who brings an item to donate to the local animal shelter will receive additional raffle tickets. Click here to register online.

Arts Festival at Heritage Park
Saturday, September 30, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road
Save the (new) date! The Arts Festival at Heritage Park has been rescheduled to Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join us for live performances, art vendors, a community mural, hands-on activities, and more!

Fangtacular Family Campout - SOLD OUT
Saturday, October 14, 3 p.m. - Sunday, October 15, 9 a.m.
Twin Coves Park, 5001 Wichita Trail
Experience Flower Mound camping by pitching a tent at Twin Coves Park. Pumpkin patch activities and various family games will be provided along with a catered dinner, breakfast, and late night snacks. Bring a tent, tent decorations, sleeping bags, bug spray, and flashlights. The most creative Halloween themed tent will win the tent decorating contest and a prize! Cabins and RV sites are available for an additional fee and must be booked separately through Twin Coves Park. Cabin and RV space is limited and must be reserved by Friday, October 6. Price for the event is per family up to six people. Families larger than 6 will be charged an additional $15 per additional person, up to 3 additional.
Glowing Pumpkin Plunge
Saturday, October 21, 6 - 8:30 p.m.
CAC Indoor Pool, 1200 Gerault Road
Grab your neon swimsuits and towels for an after-hours, glow in the dark pumpkin plunge! Find your perfect pumpkin for Halloween carving or decoration in our floating pumpkin patch. The CAC indoor pool will be decorated with black lights for this fun, family friendly, spooktacular event. After claiming a pumpkin all registered participants can enjoy in some scary, fun activities outside. Pre-registration is required as spots are limited. Each child within the same family must be registered individually and an adult must be in the water with all non-swimmers, 3-5 year-olds, and individuals wearing a lifejacket. Woof-O-Ween
Wednesday, October 25, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Hound Mound Dog Park, 1202 S Garden Ridge Boulevard
Dress your pup in their favorite Halloween costume for the Town's annual "Woof-O-Ween." Awards will be given for most creative, scariest, best homemade, funniest, and best pet/owner look-a-like costumes. There will be a photo area to capture your furry friend’s fang-tastic costume. Come out and let your canine companion strut their stuff on the red carpet, as well as enjoy treats, prizes, and music. The costume contest begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. No registration is required.
Diwali Celebration - Festival of Lights
Saturday, October 28, 5 - 9 p.m.
Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road
The Town, in partnership with the Denton County India Cultural Association, is hosting its second Diwali: Festival of Lights on Saturday, Oct. 28! The traditional Indian holiday celebrates the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and strength over fear. Join us for music, dance performances, Indian cuisine and street food, vendor booths, and much more.
Fall Chalk the Walk Contest
Saturday, November 4, 12 - 3 p.m.
Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road
Get your chalk ready for our fall chalk art contest! In honor of November Arts Month, Chalk the Walk will take place at Heritage Park and all ages and levels of artists are able to participate. The first 75 participants to register will receive their own set of chalk. Prizes will be awarded based on different groups: 6 and under, 7-10 years old, 11-13 years old, 14-17 years old, 18 and over, and family. Additionally, awards will be given for most inspiring, most unique, and best fall-inspired masterpiece. Click here to register online.
Veterans Day Ceremony
Sunday, November 5, 1 - 3 p.m.
Flower Mound High School Football Stadium, 3411 Peters Colony Road
The Town will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony, which consists of a family picnic from 1 to 2 p.m. with free hot dogs, cake, and lemonade, followed by the ceremony at 2 p.m. The ceremony will included a veterans review where local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and ROTC units parade in uniform before the veterans. ROTC units and Scout groups can enter the review by calling 972.874.6276.
Veterans Day Relay
Friday, November 10, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road
Join the 10th annual Veterans Day Relay Run where veterans and their family members will follow a 32-mile course throughout Flower Mound. Each relay runner will run approximately one to two mile sections, commemorating our nation’s veterans and their service by carrying the American flag. The course will start and end at the Flower Mound Community Activity Center. Dorothy's Dash 5K Run & Kid's K
Saturday, November 11, 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane
Help the Town commemorate Dorothy’s battle with MS by participating in the annual Dorothy’s Dash 5K race and Kid’s K. On November 16, 2004, former Town of Flower Mound employee Dorothy Walkup lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Net proceeds will benefit the Texas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Dorothy’s honor. Christmas Parade of Lights & Tree Lighting Ceremony
Saturday, December 2, 6 - 9 p.m.
Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road
Join the Town in celebrating its annual Christmas Parade! The parade is a night-time event with lighted floats parading down Spinks Road to Gerault Park, where a tree lighting ceremony will take place. The tree lighting ceremony will include choir performances, pictures with Santa Claus, carriage rides, kids' activities, and much more! Breakfast with Santa

Community Activity Center, 1200 Gerault Road
Santa's little helpers and their families are invited to join Santa as he makes his yearly stop for a pancake breakfast at the Community Activity Center! Enjoy making crafts and writing a wish list for Santa. Don't forget to bring a camera for photos! Pre-registration is required. Each attendee must individually register. NEW! Frozen River Run
Saturday, December 16, 9 - 10:30 a.m.
CAC Outdoor Water Park, 1200 Gerault Road
Are you brave enough to face the frigid water temperatures of the CAC’s outdoor river and pool? The first 50 participants that complete the course will receive a congratulatory T-shirt. Those wishing to stay warm can cheer swimmers on while enjoying hot cocoa and treats. A parent or guardian must accompany those 17 and under. Registration is not required.
