KidFish


Saturday, May 1, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Leonard & Helen Johns Community Park, 1850 Timber Creek Road

The Leonard and Helen Johns Park Pond will be stocked with more than 500 lbs of catfish for the event, which is free for youth ages 16 and younger. Prizes and awards will be given in several categories. Rood, reel, and bait are provided, or you can bring your own!

Concerts in the Park


Fridays in May, 7 - 9 p.m.
The Heritage Park of Flower Mound, 600 Spinks Road

Enjoy a perfect May evening relaxing and listening to great music with your family and friends at Concerts in the Park. This year's concerts feature a variety of family-friendly, live music for you to enjoy, FREE of charge! All you need to bring is a blanket or chair to relax on!

Art in the Park Festival


Saturday, May 8, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Heritage Park of Flower Mound, 600 Spinks Road

Come out and celebrate the arts at our inaugural Art in the Park Festival. There will be live performances, art vendors, a special treasure hunt, hands-on activities, artist demonstrations, a community mural, and much more!

Flower Mound CAC Outdoor Water Park, 1200 Gerault Road

Join Parks and Recreation staff at the CAC to celebrate Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Back to School on Labor Day at the CAC outdoor water park. Activities and games are spread throughout the day to encourage participation from patrons of all ages and abilities. Activities are FREE with paid admission to the CAC.





Memorial Day Ceremony


Monday, May 31, 9 a.m.
Flower Mound Senior Center, 2701 West Windsor Road

The Town of Flower Mound invites the community to join together to remember our fallen soldiers of war. The ceremony will feature keynote speakers from the military and local leaders, Color Guard, patriotic music, and more. For those wishing to add a Veteran to the Wall of Honor, the Town is asking residents to submit a picture and bio of a fallen hero, so that they may be recognized for their heroism.




Chalk the Walk Art Contest


Saturday, June 5, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
The Heritage Park of Flower Mound, 600 Spinks Road

Grab some chalk and embrace your creativity at our Chalk the Walk Art Contest! Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to spend the day turning the park into a canvas of color. Participants will be assigned a  concrete square to create their masterpiece. A set of chalk pastels will be provided for the first 75 participants to register, or you can bring your own. Food trucks will be on-site with food available for purchase.




CAC Birthday Bash

Saturday, June 12, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Flower Mound CAC, 1200 Gerault Road

Join the Town of Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Department as we celebrate the CAC's 13th Birthday! The CAC has been a focal point of the Flower Mound community and has enhanced the lives of area residents through its classes, programs, special events, and fitness center. Come wish the CAC Happy Birthday and enjoy snacks, special prizes, giveaways, and more. Members may also bring a friend for FREE all day to enjoy the celebration. No RSVP needed - see you there!



Dive-In Movie

Friday, June 25, 7 - 9 p.m.
Friday, July 30, 7 - 9 p.m.
Flower Mound CAC Indoor Pool, 1200 Gerault Road

Bring your family, friends, and floats to the CAC to enjoy a Dive-In Movie in the indoor pool! The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Children 10 and older are welcome without an adult present. Activities are FREE with paid admission. Movie may change without notice.




Independence Day Children's Parade


Saturday, July 3, 10 a.m.
Timber Creek Elementary, 1900 Timber Creek Road

Decorated bikes, trikes, wagons, and strollers will parade a short route to the old Lewisville ISD school administration building where you will enjoy free hot dogs, drinks, children's activities, and live entertainment. The line up begins at 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Eaton and Timber Creek Road. 






Independence Fest


Sunday, July 4, 5 - 10:30 p.m.
Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane

Come out and spend Independence Day with the Town of Flower Mound! Independence Fest 2021 will include live music featuring Le Freak and headline act Josh Abbott Band, concessions, a kid's zone presented by CoServ, car show, lots of exhibitors, and a great fireworks show presented by McDonalds. The evening program, fireworks show, and off-site parking are FREE!
