The Flower Mound Police Department and the Flower Mound Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association (FMCPAA) is gearing up for the Town’s annual Santa Cops Program.
Santa Cops is designed to be an outlet for those who want to make Christmas brighter for a child, as well as provide an opportunity for a positive interaction between the Flower Mound Police Department and those children who might perceive law enforcement in a negative light. The program continues its success throughout the U.S., fostering the idea that law enforcement serves, as well as protects.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, toy donations will not be accepted and no collection bins will be placed around Flower Mound. Instead, donations will only be accepted in the form of:
Checks (made out to FMCPAAA)
Visa or other equivalent gift cards
Gift cards to Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Target, Best Buy, or Kohl’s
Donations will be accepted through Friday, December 4 and “shopping days” will be scheduled with all participants prior to Christmas.
All donations can be dropped off in a donation kiosk located in the FMPD Police Station lobby, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane.
If you know of a family who needs Santa Cop's help this Christmas, please complete and return the online form by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25. Completed forms can be handed in at the Police Station, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane, or via email. Please keep in mind, the number of families that we can assist is dependent on the amount of donations we receive.
To speak with the program coordinator for inquiries involving larger donations, please contact Crime Prevention Officer, Justin Buck via email or by calling 972.874.3357.
