You’re invited to join the nearly 38-million Americans who partake in National Night Out (NNO) each year. NNO is a cohesive effort to promote crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood unity. Neighborhoods that organize NNO Block Parties from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, will be eligible to compete for the annual Flower Mound Neighborhood of the Year award. Registered block parties could also receive visits from members of the Town Council, FMPD, FMFD, McGruff the Crime Dog, and more. Street barricades will be provided upon request. To register your NNO block party, please complete this form, and return it to the Flower Mound Police Department, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane, or email it here.
**All block parties must be registered by 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 27.**
Once again this year, Flower Mound children in kindergarten through fifth grade, are invited to participate in a NNO poster contest. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations, and create a masterpiece that falls into the theme: Hal-O-U Be Safe on Halloween. Encourage your little artist to think about what they can do or use to be safe on Halloween. We encourage all the artists to be creative and include their favorite first responders, and what they want to be for Halloween, in the picture.
Full contest rules and entry guidelines can be found here. All posters must be submitted with an entry form, found here, before noon on Thursday, September 27.
