Allied Waste Trash Service Rate Increase

Allied Waste’s rates for trash collection services in Flower Mound will increase 3.64 percent, effective October 1. The amount includes a .33 percent increase in the disposal fee and a 3.31 percent fuel cost recovery increase. The trash rate increase will be the first in Flower Mound since 2008. For more information, please call 800.333.7301 and choose option number seven in the menu.

BULK COLLECTION:


SPECIAL PAID BULK COLLECTION: Bulk items that exceed the size and/or volume limitations described above can be collected by calling Republic’s customer service at (800) 333.7301 to schedule an extra pick-up which will be collected within seven days. There is a minimum charge of $15.96 for the first 10 minutes and $1.60 per minute thereafter for this service and payment is made directly with Republic in advance.

RECYCLING: Recycling bin(s) need to be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. and are picked up by a different truck on your regular trash collection day. All items are separated at the Republic recycling facility eliminating the need to sort the recyclable materials.
Place your recycling bin two feet away from your cart so it can be easily seen from the street.
Kitchen waste, yard waste, car tires, and batteries (all types) are NOT ACCEPTABLE for recycling.

Recycle Texas Online: With Recycle Texas Online, you can find a recycler of the material you are looking to recycle.

Camelot Landfill Convenience Station

 

LANDFILL ACCESS: Access to the Camelot Landfill residential convenience station is permitted free of charge, once per month. Residents may dispose of 4 cubic yards of debris (about a standard pickup truck full) per visit. There is a charge for non-compactable items such as bricks, concrete, and composition shingles.  Click here for a list of unacceptable materials.
Residents must show a current original garbage bill and driver’s license as proof of residency. Republic’s Camelot Landfill is prohibited from accepting any appliance containing Freon refrigerants such as refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners.
This service is intended for personal use only by Flower Mound residential customers, and does not apply to commercial haulers living in Flower Mound.


The Camelot Landfill is located at 580 Huffines Blvd (go east on FM 1171, turn left on Hwy. 121, go 2 miles and turn right on Huffines Blvd), Lewisville, TX, (972) 492-3888 and business hours are Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 4:30, and Saturday 7 a.m. to noon.

Holiday Schedule

Please view the Holiday Closings page to view a list of holidays observed by Republic Services. If your pickup falls on one of these days, your trash will be pushed forward to the next day. The rest of the week following these holidays will also be pushed forward one day, ending with Friday’s pick up on Saturday. Household Hazardous Waste

Between the scheduled Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) events held by the Town, residents have the option of obtaining a voucher to take HHW items to a drop off site in Fort Worth. A voucher can be obtained by calling, e-mailing, faxing, or writing to the Town of Flower Mound Environmental Services Division: 972.874.6340, environmentalservices@flower-mound.com, or fax 972.874.6473.
