The existing zoning standards for the Forums property are not organized within a single ordinance, rather divided throughout several amending ordinances that have been approved over the past 24 years.
The zoning of the Forums property was originally established with the approval of the Flower Mound New Town development in 1981. In 1982 the zoning was changed to PD A, Unit 2 (Ordinance 23-82) and included single-family detached, single-family attached, multi-family, office and retail uses.
On July 22, 1985, the zoning was amended to PD 1, Unit 2 (Ordinance 50-85) which changed the amount of land for the various land uses and changed some of the development standards for the property. On June 2, 1997, PD 1, Unit 2 was amended (Ordinance 31-97) which changed the street alignments and eliminated a proposed pond on the concept plan approved with Ordinance 50-85.
Although tracts of land within the Forums property have been rezoned and developed, and additional amendments have been made to PD 1, Unit 2 throughout the years, the combination of the ordinances above provides the governing standards for the Forums property.
