Street Services

Mission Statement

The mission of the Street Services team is to provide safe and convenient public thoroughfares for the residents of Flower Mound. The division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public streets within the Town, with the exception of those under the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Transportation. Responsibilities also include the operation and maintenance of bridges; curbs and gutters; sidewalks along arterial streets; and capital improvement projects funded by the street maintenance dedicated sales tax.

Emergency response

Public Works, including Street Services, serves as first responders in the early stages of an incident, and provide immediate support services during prevention, response, and recovery operations, as defined in section two of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 101).
