$3,974.08 monthly |
Police Officer |
$4,133.05 minimum monthly |

Officers are also eligible for up to $150 per month for Education/Certification pay after successful completion of eligible programs

Salary progression is based upon an annual performance review

12-hour Patrol Shifts

Paid Annual Training
-
TMRS Retirement Program and other optional supplemental retirement programs

More than seven weeks paid leave per year

Minimum Qualifications: |
-
Must be 21 years of age and a United Sates Citizen
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Minimum 45 college hours with a 2.0 GPA without TCLEOSE certification, or prior active-duty military
-
Must not have been convicted of a class B misdemeanor or greater
-
Not been convicted of a class C misdemeanor within the last five years,
excluding traffic citations
-
Driving record should not contain more than three incidents within the past three years, including accidents and moving violations
-
Be subject to a thorough, comprehensive background interview, background investigation and polygraph examination

Pass psychological and medical / drug testing requirements
-
Must comply with TCLEOSE minimum standards for licensing
