Yes. To obtain a vacation house check you will need to complete a vacation house check form that can be obtained in the front lobby of the police department.

The Flower Mound Fire Department offers child safety seat inspection free of charge for Flower Mound residents. To make an appointment, contact the Flower Mound Fire Department at 972-874-6270.
4. Why do I sometimes see Flower Mound police officers running radar or working traffic in one location on a regular basis?
There are several reasons this may occur. The location may be a Traffic Enforcement and Accident Management or TEAM location. In addition to TEAM locations, it is sometimes necessary to address other traffic complaints with several officers. The complaints either require more than one officer to work for safety reasons or warrant more than one officer due to the nature or frequency of the violation.

This can be done in several ways, by phone, mail or email. Send letters to the Flower Mound Police Department care of the Professional Standards Section at 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane, Flower Mound, Texas, 75028. You can also email the officer’s immediate supervisor or Lieutenant Clay Pierce, Professional Standards, at clay.pierce@flower-mound.com. All commendations will be forwarded to the officer’s immediate supervisor.

Yes. Call the Flower Mound Police Department’s crime tip line at 972.874.3307. If reporting a crime in progress, contact the Flower Mound Police Department at 972.539.0525. If it is an emergency call 911.
9. Can citizens ride out with a police officer on patrol?
The only people allowed to ride out with a police officer are Town employees, Town Council members, Board and Commission members, family and guests of the officer involved in the ride-along, police officers from outside agencies, graduates of the Citizen Police Academy and Criminal Justice college students.

11. Does the Flower Mound Police Department offer a finger printing service?
Yes. The finger printing service is offered to citizens at no charge and to non-citizens for $20.00. The Flower Mound Police Department does NOT offer finger printing for immigration documents. 12. How do get a copy of an accident report?
You may obtain a copy of an accident report by appearing at the records section of the Flower Mound Police Department at 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays beginning June 1, 2009. There is an administrative fee of $6.00 for each copy. If you have questions in reference to acquiring a copy of an accident report, contact the records section at 972.874.3328.
13. How do I obtain an alarm permit for my home or business?
You may obtain this permit for an annual fee of $35 for residents and $50 for businesses, payable by exact cash or check at the time of registration by appearing at the records section of the Flower Mound Police Department at 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
14. Why do I have to have an alarm permit?
Your alarm registration information is needed to assist members of the police and fire department with providing a continued high level of customer service that improves the quality of life in the Town of Flower Mound. Additionally, use of an alarm system without a permit as required by Town ordinance will result in fine for “Operating an Alarm System Without A Permit.” This offense is punishable by a fine amount up to $500.00.
15. Can I determine if I have a warrant out for my arrest over the phone?
No. Any information concerning warrant must be done in person.
16. How do I schedule a crime prevention program?

17. Should I call 911 if I do not know the police department’s non-emergency phone number?
911 services are to be used in emergency situations only. The purpose of this number is to expedite emergency response. Your misuse of 911 could result in criminal charges being filed against the caller. For non-emergency calls, dial 972.539.0525.
18. What can I do if I see a reckless driver?
You may report such action to the police department and we will attempt to locate the vehicle. However, we may only take action if a police officer personally observes an offense. If you can safely record and provide the make, color, license plate and if possible a description of the driver, the police department can send a letter to the registered owner’s address. The letter advises they were seen driving in a reckless manner and actions were reported.
19. Can I drop charges in a family violence case?
No. Even if the victim does not wish to cooperate with the investigation the State will still pursue charges.
20. Can the Flower Mound Police Department provide me with copies of vehicle registration, drivers license or criminal history returns?
No. By law the police department cannot distribute this information.
