  • Property Owner Notices:
    Certain applications require written notification to be sent to adjacent property owners whose property is within two hundred feet (200’) of the application property, notifying them of the application and upcoming public hearing/s. The fee is $2.50 per notice per mailing.  If two public hearings are required (before the Planning & Zoning Commission and Town Council), two separate mailings will be done.  All property owner notice fees are collected before the project is placed on the agenda for the first public hearing at P&Z.  Planning staff determine the notice recipients, calculate the fee and notify the applicant.
  • Newspaper Legal Notices:
    The fee for a legal notice to be placed in the newspaper to advertise a public hearing is $40 per notice.  If two public hearings are required (Planning & Zoning Commission and Town Council), the fee is $80.  These fees are collected at the time the application is submitted.  Before making a submittal, the applicant may call Planning Services to confirm the number of public hearings required for their application.
