Christmas Tree and Turkey Oil Recycling

The Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Keep Flower Mound Beautiful will offer free Christmas tree and turkey oil recycling between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. from December 26 through January 13 at Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Road.  The trees cannot be flocked and all decorations and nails must be removed.  Shrubs and tree limbs will also be accepted for mulching.  Lumber and trash will not be accepted.  Residents who would like mulch are encouraged to bring their own containers.  The turkey oil must be in its original container or similar container with a lid.  No shortening or lard will be accepted. Summer Fun Showcase

One-stop shopping for your family’s summer fun! Town of Flower Mound Community Services departments and local businesses offering summer camps, classes, and activities will be on hand to share information about their programs and take registrations. Register for programs offered at the new Community Activity Center and be one of the first to purchase a membership to the new facility.

9th Annual Father/Daughter Prom

Saturday, April 12
6 - 9 p.m.
DFW Lakes Hotel

(adjacent to Grapevine Mills Mall)
Dress to impress for a memorable evening of dancing, food, and fun. Fathers and their daughters, ages 4 to 13, are invited to attend. The cost is $60 per couple and $20 for each additional daughter. Photographers will be on-site to take photos for an additional charge. Limited space is available, so please register early. The registration deadline is March 28. GPS Adventure

GPS Adventure is an outdoor recreational activity designed for friends and families to explore the Town’s park system. A high tech game of hide and seek, the Adventure uses GPS Orienteering to lead participants through 15 of Flower Mound’s parks on a hunt to find hidden markers.

A GPS receiver can be checked out free of charge at the Parks and Recreation office, 3925 Churchill Drive, with a valid Texas driver’s license and proof of Flower Mound residency.
