Final "Battle for the Diamond" FMPD vs. FMFD Softball Game

The final Battle for the Diamond softball game between the Flower Mound Police Department and the Flower Mound Fire Department will be a fun, family-oriented event community event is sponsored by the Flower Mound Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, and area businesses. Proceeds from the game will support the Flower Mound Police and Fire Departments and are used for non-budgeted items. Departmental personnel and equipment that will be on site for interaction and viewing could include:

K-9 Officer Adame and Bullitt
SWAT truck
Fire truck
Police car
McGruff
MICU ambulance
Sky Watch Tower
Citizens Patrol cars
Citizen's Emergency Response Team and equipment

In the last game, the Fire Department reclaimed the trophy from the Police Department by a score of 13-9. Pick your favorite team and show your support by wearing a blue shirt for the Police Department or a red shirt for the Fire Department. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the park, and gate prizes will be awarded to attendees between innings. Tickets purchased for the 2009 game will be honored. The mission of the Flower Mound Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association (FMCPAAA) is to promote understanding between the community and the Flower Mound Police Department, and to aid and assist the police department, the Town and the citizens in promoting and supporting projects and programs for the betterment of the community and its citizens.
