Sales Tax Deduction Information
Congress extended the bill through 2009 that allows individuals from states that do not levy a state income tax to deduct sales tax on their federal income tax return for certain items purchased throughout the year. The Town of Flower Mound has a two percent local sales tax rate. One percent goes to the Town's General Fund and the other one percent is comprised of four, voter-approved dedicated sales taxes.
