Town of Flower Mound Special Charter Amendment Election
The Flower Mound Town Council ordered a special election to be held in concurrence with the General Election on Saturday, May 12, 2012, for the purpose of voting “yes” or “no” on 12 proposed home-rule charter amendments. The Council appointed a Charter Review Commission in December 2011 to recommended potential amendments to the Town Charter. The Council reviewed the Commission’s report and recommendations, conducted public hearings and meetings regarding the proposed amendments, and voted to include 12 of the 13 recommendations on the May 12, 2012 General & Special Charter Amendment Election ballot. Early voting will occur between April 30 and May 8. Please visit www.flower-mound.com/voting/electionsto review the proposed amendments.
