Do you know a 12- to 17-year-old who wants to make a difference in the community? The Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) is seeking students who have contributed to youth disaster preparedness or lived through a disaster and would like to share their experiences. The council will participate in a June community preparedness roundtable event in Washington D.C. to voice their opinions, experiences, and ideas with the leadership of national organizations working on youth preparedness. Nominations must be received by April 6, and council participants will be announced in May.
