The Community Activity Center (CAC) is partnering with Carter Blood Care to host a blood drive from 8 – 11 a.m. March 3, as part of the FM Fit program. The blood drive will be held in the Pecan Room of the CAC for anyone who is at least 16 years of age (16-year-olds must have written parental consent) and weighs a minimum of 110 pounds. Pre-registration is required and can be completed by visiting https://iwebb.carterbloodcare.org/pls/iwebb/aspn?pzp=76203&psp=SPON100219. As part of the planned monthly health walk, FM Fit members can also participate in a brisk walk on the trails beginning at 9 a.m. March 3 at Tiger Field, near Timber Creek Elementary.
The Town launched the "FM FIT" health initiative Jan. 7 for anyone who would like to commit to making healthy food choices and exercise a priority. The program will continue until May 5, and includes several scheduled fitness activities and health events. FM FIT is open to everyone and participants do not need to live in Flower Mound or be members of the Flower Mound Community Activity Center to join. One can join the program anytime during the program by signing and submitting the FM FIT pledge online, at any FM FIT event, or the CAC.
