Flower Mound’s commitment to serving its residents was recently recognized on a national stage as The Business Journals ranked the Town number eight in Texas on a list of communities that offer the “Best Quality of Life.” Ranking factors included healthy economies, light traffic, moderate costs of living, impressive housing stocks, and strong educational systems. Released in December 2011, the publication’s “On Numbers” section analyzed 3,764 U.S. municipalities to compile the rankings. With an estimated population of 67,678, Flower Mound was the only community in the Texas top ten with more than 26,100 residents. Additional North Texas cities ranking in the top ten included Southlake, University Park, and Colleyville. Flower Mound ranked in the 98th “Best Quality of Life” percentile nationally.
