The Town will hold the eighth annual Dorothy’s Dash for MS Nov. 12 at Flower Mound High School, in honor of former Town employee Dorothy Walkup, who lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Nov. 16, 2004.
On Nov. 12, on-site registration and chip pick-up lines open at 7 a.m., the Kids’ K starts at 8 a.m., and the 5K starts at 9 a.m. For registration information and race routes, visit www.flower-mound.com/dorothysdash.
Dorothy is missed but not forgotten as a friend, mentor, and shoulder to lean on to all who had the good fortune to know her. Her strength and courage were never more evident than during her seven-year fight against MS. The Town of Flower Mound sponsors "Dorothy's Dash" to honor her memory, share her example with others who may suffer this terrible disease, and to raise funds to combat Multiple Sclerosis.
