FM Home Strongest Firefighter in America
Flower Mound is home to the strongest firefighter in America. Firefighter/Paramedic Joe Hnizdo recently competed in the National Firefighter Games in Jacksonville, Florida, which featured athletic competitions among firefighters from across the country. Hnizdo won the national bench press title by lifting 455 pounds. The firefighter also won the gold medal for bench press at the Texas Firefighter Olympics in July. Hnizdo’s personal best is 550 pounds, which he has lifted during training. The Flower Mound Fire Department is proud to call Hnizdo one of their own.
