Seniors In Motion Members Named Advocates of the Year

Flower Mound is proud to announce that Seniors In Motion members Doug and Ann Brown have been recognized as Region 2 Advocates of the Year by the Texas Recreation and Park Society. Doug and Ann Brown have been active volunteers for the Town of Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Division, as well as several local charities in Denton County, for many years. The couple volunteered more than 2,000 hours for the Parks and Recreation Division and the Flower Mound Community in 2009. One of the most impressive aspects of this volunteer team is that they both celebrated their 85^th birthday in 2010. The Texas Recreation and Park Society is a non-profit, professional and educational organization committed to advancing the field of parks, recreation and leisure services in Texas. Region 2 of the Texas Recreation and Park Society consists of 45 cities in the North Central Texas area. The Town of Flower Mound applauds Doug and Ann for their commitment and hard work. The Town is very fortunate to have this husband and wife team and their dedication to making Flower Mound a great place to live.
