Flower Mound Police Launch 2010 Lake Grapevine Patrol Program
The Flower Mound Police Department and Fire Department recently kicked-off the 2010 boating season with lake patrols on Lake Grapevine. The departments will use their patrol time to promote boater safety through education and enforcement during the entire 2010 summer boating season. Officers and safety personnel will conduct lake patrols in the Town’s grant-funded 22’ Boston Whaler with a goal of conveying the following message that ensures safe and responsible boating:
- Wear It - wearing life jackets saves lives
- Take It - boater education saves lives
- Check It - safe boats save lives
- Don’t Drink It - sober boating saves lives
- Report it - reckless boating takes lives
The Flower Mound Police and Fire Departments wish all boaters a safe and fun Lake Grapevine boating experience this season. Please call 9-1-1 to report safety issues on Lake Grapevine.
