Flower Mound Police Department Warns Parents and Kids Against Dangers of K2 Use
New products noted to have a hallucinogenic effect when ingested or smoked and described as “legal marijuana” are being sold by some local tobacco and “head” shops. Advertised as herbal incense for use as aromatherapy, one of the best known of these products is called “K2.”
While currently legal, these synthetic products have been found to have dangerous side effects when ingested or smoked and typically have warnings on the packages that state it is not for human consumption. The Flower Mound Police Department is warning parents that K2 is readily available in neighboring cities and legal for purchase by patrons of any age. The drug is currently illegal in Kansas, and under consideration by several other states and federal authorities.
