Celebrate National Park and Recreation Month in July
Throughout the month of July we’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of National Parks and Recreation Month, by offering fun activities every day. Click here to view this month's activities! Flower Mound Parks and Recreation? not only operates the Community Activity Center, but also maintains more than 1,000 acres of parkland; including forty-three miles of multi-purpose trails that serve as a link between parks, neighborhoods, schools, and businesses. From the start, parks were created to serve the people; to give them a place to appreciate nature, exercise, socialize and have fun.

Flower Mound Parks and Recreation Win Gold Medal Award
The Town of Flower Mound was recently recognized for its excellence in the field of Parks and Recreation Management by the Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS). The Town was selected to receive the 2015 Texas Gold Medal Award, which honors communities throughout the state that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, resource management, community programs and events, marketing efforts, and agency recognition during the last three years.
Flower Mound is the only Class III city (Populations 50,001 to 100,000) in the state to receive this designation in 2015.
