The Town takes protecting the health and safety of our residents very seriously. The issue of mosquito spraying falls under this responsibility. The following link provides information on lab-confirmed West Nile positive mosquitoes, lab-confirmed human cases in the Town, and spraying locations:

2015 Mosquito Season Summary
The 2015 mosquito season was more  active in regards to West Nile virus activity in mosquitoes than 2014, but human numbers remained low. Environmental Health Services has compiled the data from the 2015 season into a comprehensive summary. Please click on the following link to view the 2015 mosquito summary.

2015 Mosquito Summary

Preparations for the 2016 mosquito season are fast underway. Environmental Services has implemented several upgrades and enhancements to the mosquito program in order to better serve the citizens of the Town. Citizens are encouraged to continue to follow the Mosquito Webpage as well as the Town News Feed and Social Media links for up to date events and activity.

Once again the Town will be conducting the Resident Larvicide Give Away Program. Beginning May 2, 2016, Residents of the Town may bring a form of ID or a utility bill showing residency in the Town to Town Hall and receive 2 complimentary larvicide dunks for use on their property. The start date may change as weather conditions dictate.

Click here for a helpful flyer for what you can do on your personal property to help minimize the presence of mosquitoes and exposure to West Nile virus. While the Town conducts an integrated approach to mosquito control, it is important that citizens observe their own property to help control mosquitoes.
