Parks and Trails
The Parks and Recreation Division maintains more than 680 acres of parkland. This includes approximately 32.6 miles of multi-purpose trails that link together parks, neighborhoods, schools, and businesses and 2 miles of equestrian trails. There are 9 miles of equestrian trails and 14 miles of unpaved hike and bike trails for public use within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers park property along the northern shores of Grapevine Lake.

Many of our neighborhood parks offer a variety of playgrounds, covered picnic shelters, cooking grills, park benches, and basketball play pads. Residents also enjoy numerous youth and adult baseball, softball, football, and soccer fields, and public tennis courts.

Twin Coves Park - Boat Ramp Closure - UPDATED

The Town expedited the Twin Coves Boat Ramp project this fall. Demolition and construction of the old ramp started on October 8 allowing the Town to take advantage of the low lake levels. Phase II of the boat ramp project is expected to start in April with completion in June of 2014. The project will include a new boat ramp, courtesy dock, sidewalks, area lighting, and concrete parking. Due to funding limitations the fish cleaning station will be added in a future phase.
