Flower Mound general elections were previously held on the 2nd Saturday in May. This changed to the 1st Saturday in May as a result of the 84th Legislature. Items listed on general election ballots for consideration could include Town Council positions, Charter amendments, CIP projects, and bond items. Election ballots can also include county, school district, and state propositions.
Flower Mound Town Council Members are elected “at-large,” each representing the entire community, and serve two-year terms. The Mayor and Places 2, and 4 are elected in even-numbered years. Places 1, 3, and 5 are elected in odd-numbered years. Each member of the Council must meet these qualifications:
