Volunteering can be the most rewarding event of your life. You will be able to work with public professionals who are committed to quality and excellence in delivery of all Town services. The VIP program allows the Town to utilizes its citizen in a unique and challenging way. Our program’s goals are to:
Encourage and provide an opportunity for citizen participation
Improve the quality of life through expanded services, without additional taxation
Enhance services by utilizing volunteers to supplement the efforts of Town staff
Promote and assist citizen’s understanding of municipal government
Provide mentorship for up and coming professionals and students
The majority of our departments can utilize volunteers. Here is a brief list of possible departments:

There will be a variety of tasks available. Some of which could be professional in nature, while others may be project-based, clerical or special events.
People from all over the community are eligible. We are in need of a variety of skills and work-related experience. Our program needs professionals. Retirees wanting to serve their community. Students who want to begin employment training before college. Interns from a variety of college programs. Homemakers, too. Anyone can become a valuable, viable member of our Volunteer staff. Volunteers can serve on a seasonal, on-going, one-time, short-term, as need, or special events basis. If you think you would like this type of challenge and want to become a VIP for the Town of Flower Mound please contact us for a Volunteer Application. Once received, applications will be reviewed for a “best-fit” and department “need.” All we ask is that you be 15 years of age or older.
