Jan 4th  – Regarding Anne Carnes in Utility Billing (e-mail from a resident)

Hello,

I just got off the phone with an "Ann" of the Flower Mound Utility billing department. She assisted me with an online bill payment issue.

I just wanted her supervisor to know that I found her to be professional, helpful, and courteous during the entire phone call.

It's easy to find someone who is doing something wrong, but it's a blessing to find someone who is doing something right.  My kudos to her.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Y Shelton

Jan 5th  -  Regarding Officer Rodney Adame (e-mail from a citizen)

Please accept my commendation for Officer Adam (I'm sorry but I’m not sure that I have his last name correct) Tonight, after 15 hours of work, I flattened a tire - driver- rear side, on 2499 just north of Spinks near Lakemont Dr. as I was heading north about 1 mile south of the intersection of 3040 and 2499 Office Adam ( a Canine Officer), drove up behind me, kept me safe, provided assistance and good company while providing the light necessary for me to change my tire on a very dark part of 2499 . This officer exemplifies the image that we as parents have used to teach our children when considering the role of a police officer. After shaking his hand, I drove off and realized that I didn’t say anything to let him know how much I appreciated his assistance. Please wish Officer Adam a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas, along with my thanks for his assistance. He is an asset to his division and to the Town of Flower Mound.

Jan 12th -  Regarding Tony Criss, Public Works (e-mail received from co-worker)

Eric,
I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how pleased we were in dispatch with Tony’s response, performance, and overall patience during this weekend’s thaw and busted water pipes.

Per our ULM log, beginning Friday 01/08/10 at 7:08pm until Sunday 01/10/10 at 9:11pm Tony was paged out a total of 40 times.  Tony was prompt in returning our pages or answering our phone calls.  He did so with a pleasant attitude even though we can only imagine how busy he was at the time.

We did not receive any complaints from any citizens or the FD regarding his response during the weekend.

Just thought you would want to know how much your guys are appreciated and how well they respond when contacted for emergencies. If you would pass our Thank You on to Tony we would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Lisa Lunday
Communications Supervisor

Jan 13th – Regarding Nick Acosta and his Drainage/ROW Crew in Public Works (e-mail from resident)

Hello: I hope you can help with a problem that has existed for a long time. You probably have not been made aware of it. The water is trapped on the north bound side of Shiloh at a bridge just south of Oakview. Over time the grass has caught sediment from the road way on the east side of the bridge. During a rain the water accumulates to a fairly deep depth and can cause hydroplaning as you are traveling north to 1171. The fix is to simply remove the build up at the edge of the road.  Thank you for taking a look at it.

Thanks for fixing the problem soon after I brought it to you attention. I have seen you fix tested in some heavy rain with no problems at all.

Jan 19th– Regarding Mike Smith, Fire & Emergency Services (e-mail received from customer)

Mike,

We cannot express enough our gratitude to you and the Flower Mound Fire

the sprinkler head leaking.  We apologize for the confusion regarding
contacts and hope that with this list there will not be any issues in
the future.

Jan 19th – Regarding Officer Doug Kriese (commendation from Assistant Fire Chief Scott Mitchell)

Jan 19th – Regarding Police Personnel (e-mail received from citizen)

I am not sure if this is the correct location to email, but I wanted to say thank you to your Police Department.  Two officers responded today to my situation. I was locked out of my car with the kids in it.  I didn't get the officers names, but they were very nice and very helpful.  They calmed me down and even made me feel better about getting locked out.  One of the officers even made faces and waved at my children to calm them down.  I am very grateful for the fast response and the very nice officers.

Thank you,
Rachelle Johnston

Jan 26th – Regarding Caroline Morrow, Library Services (e-mail from Supervisor)
Caroline Morrow, one of the library clerks was featured on a PODcast at the North Texas Regional Library System website (www.ntrls.org).  She was interviewed about supporting support staff.  It was a very positive interview and Caroline did a great job!  If you would like to listen

Jan 27th – Regarding Mary Boyer (e-mail from co-worker regarding comments from a resident)

Mary,

The gentleman that was just here (Jason) to purchase some billing equipment said to tell you that he so appreciated how you went out of your way to help him without even being asked to do so.  He said that he deals a lot with other towns and that he was really impressed how nice and helpful you were and that it says a lot for our town.
