Rich in history and tradition, the Town of Flower Mound is continually evolving. The Historical Profile and timeline were created to document some of the events, people, and geographical landmarks that have played a role in the story of Flower Mound.

This Historical Profile is not intended to be a comprehensive account of Flower Mound's History. It is an overview of some of the more significant events that helped shape the Town's past and future. A work-in-progress, the Historical Profile will continually be updated as additional historical facts are uncovered and new events occur.

A significant amount of the information regarding the Town's early history has been assembled from documents, reports, and personal accounts of events contained in Sweet Flower Mound Land. The Town would like to thank the members of the Historical Commission and the many residents who contributed to the project.
