The Lakeside Business District and Denton Creek District will provide the Town with ample land, in desirable and accessible locations, to attract quality economic development.

Aggressive marketing begun on the 1,500 acre Lakeside Business District (LBD) which is located at the southern entrance to Flower Mound on International Parkway (FM2499), bordered on the north by Spinks Road, the town limits on the east and Lake Grapevine on the west. Approximately $25M has been invested in public improvements that included water and sewer extensions, the construction of Lakeside Parkway and Silveron Boulevard, and the expansion of Gerault Road. Premier developments within the Lakeside Business District are Lakeside DFW, Silveron, Lakeside Trade Center, Lakeside Commerce Center, Lakeside Ranch, Flower Mound Business Park, and Corporate Ridge.

Economic conditions have been greatly influenced by Flower Mound’s close proximity to two major airports: the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, located three miles south of the Town, and Alliance Airport, located ten miles southwest of the Town.

The Denton Creek District is located in the western portion of Flower Mound near Alliance Airport and the Texas Motor Speedway. It will be an excellent regional access for future development provided by Interstate 35-W, US 377 and FM 1171. The land uses will include major retail, village retail, retail, campus commercial, campus industrial, office and light industrial/office/flex office.

The Town of Flower Mound adopted the Master Plan 2001, which outlines in detail how development can occur in these areas. For more detailed information on the Master Plan you can reference it on the Town of Flower Mound’s web page at www.flower-mound.com under the information drop down menu.
