With a population of 62,450 and growing, Flower Mound prides itself on balancing a unique blend of country atmosphere with a dynamic environment for economic development. This is evident in the Roadway Beautification Program where many of Flower Mound’s major roads, intersections, and medians contain trees, shrubs, flowers and grass planting to provide visually appealing roadways in a growing community.
Flower Mound continues to garner national attention as a great community with a history of accolades. In 2007, Business Week magazine ranked Flower Mound one of the Top 25 Best Affordable Suburbs in the South. Business Week noted that Flower Mound is a desirable community because of its close proximity to DFW International Airport and other major cities, as well as a low cost of living. Also in 2007, the Town was recognized as the Ninth Most Technologically Advanced City in the Nation in its population category by the Center for Digital Government.
