Parks & Recreation
The Town itself is a picturesque gem featuring rolling hills topography, nestled between Grapevine and Lewisville Lakes. More than 30 miles of bike trails, 684 acres of park land, and a new 80,000 square-foot Community Activity Center offers an abundance of recreation opportunities. Lake Grapevine, along Flower Mound’s southern border, has a surface area of 6,684 acres and Twin Coves Marina is located in Flower Mound. Lake Lewisville, only a few minutes drive to the north, spans 23,280 acres and has 233 miles of shoreline. With an average depth of 25 feet, Lewisville Lake is large enough to accommodate a variety of water sport enthusiasts with room left over for anglers to fish. Residents and visitors enjoy sailing, water sports, fishing, hunting, camping, and hiking at these and other area lakes.
Golf
With an average annual temperature of 75.8°F, golf enthusiasts enjoy year-round play at nationally recognized and award-winning golf courses Bridlewood and Tour 18 in Flower Mound. There are approximately 150 private and municipal golf courses in the DFW area.
Shopping & Dining

Arts and Music
The Flower Mound Performing Arts Theatre produces a full season of plays and musicals annually and has an outstanding youth educational program. The Flower Mound Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1994 to provide area residents a vehicle for performance and enjoyment of classical music.
Horse Riding
Horse lovers can enjoy two equestrian centers located in Flower Mound—Bridlewood Stables & Equestrian Center and Flower Mound Equestrian Center.
Area Sports
Within the DFW area, sports fans can enjoy five major league sports teams including NFL Cowboys football, NBA Mavericks basketball, MLB Rangers baseball, NHL Stars hockey, and NSL FC Dallas Soccer. Additionally, the Texas Motor Speedway is located within minutes of Flower Mound and hosts two NASCAR events a year and other sanctioned races.
