Trash Collection Service

Download the Trash and Recycling Guide

Basic service includes the following:
How does trash collection work?

Roll your cart to the curb/alley by 7 a.m. on your collection day. The cart is emptied mechanically from inside Allied Waste's vehicle cab. The driver uses a joystick to operate the automated arm that picks up the cart and empties the garbage into the truck. The cart is set back in place, and the Allied Waste truck moves onto the next stop.

When should I set out my trash?

Check the map below to determine your pickup day. A larger version of the map can be downloaded by clicking on the map below. Be sure your cart is at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure collection. Please pull your cart back to the house after it has been emptied.

Trash Pick Up Map

What's the limit on brush and bulky items?

Twice a month you can set out up to 2 cubic yards in volume, or approximately 3' x 3' x 6'. No household waste will be accepted.

What if I don't want to wait for the twice a month bundled brush and bulky pickup?

You may call 800.333.7301 to schedule an extra pick-up which will be collected within seven days.
There is a minimum charge for this service and payment must be made in advance.

What if a holiday falls on my collection day?

Allied Waste will observe New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If your pickup falls on one of these days, your trash will be pushed forward to the next day. The
rest of the week following these holidays will also be pushed forward one day, ending with Friday’s pickup on Saturday. Call 972.539.SERV (7378) for details on delays and holidays.

Can I go directly to the landill?

Access to the Camelot Landfill is permitted free of charge, once per month Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents may dispose of 4 cubic yards of debris (about a pickup truck full) per visit.

What do I need to gain access to the Camelot Landfill?

Residents must show a current original garbage bill and driver’s license as proof of residency. Allied Waste Camelot Landfill is prohibited from accepting any appliance containing Freon refrigerants such as refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners.

This service is intended for personal use only by Flower Mound residential customers, and does not apply to commercial
haulers living in Flower Mound. There is a charge for non-compactable items such as bricks, concrete, and compostion shingles.
